What Do You See?

louis1There is a lot of things that go on around us that we never see, we just miss it.  Either these things are to fast or maybe to slow to be noticed by us.  That’s why I’m a fan of the photography of Louis Schwartzberg.  He uses technology to slow down his film and record those things that we miss like bees pollinating, clouds forming and mushrooms growing.

This inability of us to see these things in our physical world remind me of all we miss or don’t realize is going on in the spiritual world as well.  God is always at work doing things that we can’t begin to imagine.  Remember the Prophet Elisha got to see the supernatural work that God was doing.  God also made it possible for Elisha’s friend to see God’s Heavenly army that was sent to fight on their behalf (2 Kings 6:17).

Along with our busy lives and our fear of thelouis2 unknown our fear makes us think we are alone in this world.  But that simple isn’t true.  God has reassured us that His Spirit is in us and is greater than any and all worldly powers (1 John 4:).

Therefore, whenever we are dealing with all the evil that is around us that we do see, remember instead about all the good work that God is doing that we cannot always see.  The eyes of the faithful see God at work in everything.
